Interview Process

  • The interview consisted of a standardized written test, with individual papers for each candidate.
  • There were 20 multiple-choice questions (four options each), scoring +2 for correct answers and -1 for incorrect answers.
  • The test was conducted in a large hall with over 100 seats, where personal belongings were stored at the back.
  • Each candidate received a sheet of scratch paper and a pencil.
  • The version of the test was randomized (I received version 4).
  • The content distribution was approximately half probability theory and half financial engineering, with about half of the probability section related to Brownian motion.
  • The process included check-in, storing bags, random seating, distribution of test papers and pencils, and then starting the test.
  • The total duration was 90 minutes, with proctors reminding candidates at the 30, 15, and 3-minute marks; a clock was visible at the back of the room.
  • There was enough time to complete all 20 questions, and candidates on either side of me submitted their tests early.

Technical Questions

  1. Probability Theory (Probability Theory, Financial Engineering, Brownian Motion)
