Interview Process

The recruiter reached out in February, but I wasn’t looking to change jobs at that time. I indicated that I could be contacted in three months. In May, I followed up, and the recruiter mentioned that there would be headcount available in August. By the end of July, I followed up again and updated my resume in their system but received no response. In mid-August, I noticed a Meta recruiter viewed my LinkedIn profile, but it took another two to three weeks before I received an email from the recruiter to schedule a call.

The phone call was very punctual and felt casual. There were no technical questions during this call, as the recruiter had my resume. We discussed the following topics:

  • Preferred location
  • Previous job level
  • What I am looking for in my next role
  • Introduction to my previous team
  • Description of a personal project
  • Programming languages used in my work
  • Preferred programming language for the interview

The recruiter then explained the interview process:

  • CodeSignal + Work Assessment + Phone interview scheduled together (I was asked to provide five available times).
  • The recruiter specifically mentioned that the CodeSignal assessment should be completed within seven days, and I could set a start date based on my preference. I had recently completed a similar assessment for Coinbase, so I opted to start immediately.

However, the results from the Coinbase CodeSignal assessment cannot be shared with Meta, possibly due to differences in question banks. I have not yet started the assessment for Meta.

The final interview will consist of:

  • 2 coding interviews
  • 1 system design interview
  • 1 behavioral interview
This will be conducted at the E4 level.

I also received an immigration questionnaire after the call.
