Interview Process
The interview process included an online assessment followed by a HireVue round. I proceeded to the Super Day, which consisted of two behavioral questions (BQ) rounds and a discussion on my CV, focusing on project details and model selection rationale. Questions included “Why Hong Kong?”, “Why Morgan Stanley?”, and various cultural fit aspects.
After the initial interviews, I received an email from HR the same day requesting an additional interview, which was scheduled for the next day. This additional round was also purely behavioral, with a new interviewer from the derivatives team who reviewed other projects on my CV.
Later that evening, I was informed about yet another round of interviews. In this final round, I encountered some technical questions: one coding question and one probability question. The coding question focused on explaining my thought process and complexity analysis without the need to write actual code. The probability question was a classic coin toss problem.
I am currently waiting for the results.
Technical Questions
- Model Selection (Project Management, Model Selection, Strategy Analysis)
- Coin Toss Probability (Probability, Binomial Distribution, Statistics)
Tips & Insights
Be prepared for a mix of behavioral and technical questions, and ensure you can articulate your project experiences and model choices clearly. Understanding the company’s culture and values is crucial for the cultural fit discussions.
